Michael Burke is a BAFTA award-winning multi-camera Director, with over 20 years experience in the broadcasting industry. Proud of his Salford roots, Michael was one of BBC Sport's first recruits when they moved to MediaCity in 2012. He has match directed Premier League & FA Cup football since 2017, Wimbledon tennis, London Marathons, Rugby League finals at Wembley and a World Cup Final at Old Trafford. He has also studio directed iconic shows including Match of the Day, Football Focus, Six Nations and Olympics.
